Kaleidoscope Eyes

There are these moments.

You know, those moments when you can feel everything around you about to change. You can feel it in the air, buzzing around you like an excited firefly in the middle of July.

Like a spring fling after the romance of winter, it takes all that you have to just stand there and absorb this shift in "weather"--

To avoid running from this pre-determined change in season, and holding on to a wardrobe that no longer fits its constantly evolving climate.

You order yourself to not only adapt to these new conditions, but to take pleasure in the transfiguration of you.

As a noun, is is essential you must be complimented with a suitable verb. The only proper verb here, being the one: to enjoy.

Appreciate, revel, take delight in, savor, lap up, luxuriate, & bask in the glow of change.

Avoid getting glued to the familiarity of old habits. To the comfort of that which is already had. Fight shy of earth you have already walked, of people you have already served, and of ideas you have already discovered.

If the (necessary) decisions to remove yourself from such accustomed patterns seems far too difficult a thought to entertain, make them anyways. Because let's face it-- no matter how sweet the nectar of what little fruit remains, the rotten core growing underneath will continue to exist.

In the words of my beautiful friend Maya Yitzhaky,
Take comfort in knowledge that no matter what:

THE UNIVERSE WILL CARRY YOU CARRY YOU THROUGH.

& trust that voice within.

(Mine says, Sprinkle Yourself with Cinnamon & follow the boy with the Kaleidoscope Eyes.)

For though we may discover that where we were is where we in fact ought to be, at least the road ahead will be carved in appreciation and self- assurance.

No doubts,
Just Love, Love Love.
