Rain.

What is it about this fervid forecast that makes us all sentimental? Hot chocolate. Rufus Wainwright. Movie marathons in bed. Cozy conversations with cozy people in cozy coffee shops. Hearty soup. Backgammon competitions. Journaling in your jimmies. It pulls at your heart strings a little... or a lot a little. It's almost as if the world around you is summoning an emotional reaction. Mama nature calls it precipitation, your mind calls it feel-ing clean-ing. Your head gets filled with a downpour of thoughts, hitting you like fat droplets as you try and escape this delirious deluge. Actions are made deliberate, as the cloudy weather brings into focus who is worth getting wet for. After a season of sunshine, you must re-evaluate who is asked to leave and who is invited inside. You muse over the past, taking refuge in this meaningful present. The rain a festive filter for your forthcoming future.
